There is something magical about summer weddings; when you celebrate one at a waterfront location, you are set for success. Ashley and Vincent tied the knot on a beautiful summer day, and they had one wish, to have colorful flowers which could make their wedding ceremony and reception pop up! And as their Long Island wedding florists we delivered, we understood the color palette, and their wedding is one of our favorites.
The beautiful and renewed Piermont Babylon wedding venue was the perfect blank canvas for this love story. With plenty of natural light coming from the surrounding windows and the waterfront views as the backdrop for the head table, only one element was missing: color. The neutral tones from the walls, ceilings, and tables allowed us to play with bright and powerful tones of pink, orange, and blush.
The centerpieces were a combination of tall and short vases, all with various blooms characteristic of summer. Still, we added an even more colorful element to the combination of dried flowers. Dried flowers are unique because they add a different texture to any floral design. All the florals kept an organic shape, and they stood up in the right proportions for this gorgeous wedding venue.
For the center of attention during the wedding reception, the head table, we kept it colorful while adding some cascade flow to the front of the table and behind them complementing the amazing ocean views, a cute neon sign hanging from a round stand which we beautifully decorated with blooms and dried flowers.
And last but not least, the protagonist of the celebration was the bridal bouquet. With a combination of peonies in the most beautiful hot pink color, you can imagine, peach and light pink ranunculus, seeded eucalyptus, and bright-colored dried flowers. Different tones, sizes, and textures created a magical bouquet. We added a long fabric tail within the same peachy color to finish up.
As the guests made their way to the reception, they were welcomed by a beautiful floral display that set the tone for the rest of the evening. The evening was everything Ashley and Vincent could ever ask for. The scent of fresh flowers as guests mingled and enjoyed the beautiful summer day will be forever in their memories.
The reception celebrated love and happiness, and the beautiful floral displays added a touch of sophistication and elegance to the evening. The couple had put a lot of thought and effort into every detail of their wedding, and the floral arrangements were no exception. From the centerpieces to the bouquets, every flower was chosen with care and thought, creating a magical and unforgettable day.
